Worn out, broken, or just not secure enough. We replace it properly and leave the door working right.
Deadbolts, handlesets, high-security cylinders and full hardware upgrades across Broward.
Rekeying is usually cheaper, but sometimes the hardware itself is the problem.
Sticking, grinding, a key that needs jiggling, or a bolt that no longer throws cleanly. Those are symptoms, and they get worse.
Salt air near the coast destroys exterior hardware. Once a cylinder is pitted and seized, rekeying it is money wasted.
Builder-grade hardware is the cheapest thing on the door. Upgrading the deadbolt is the highest-value security change most homes can make.
Mismatched, dated or scratched hardware on a front door is worth replacing on appearance alone, and we can match every door in the house.

Search locksmith near me in Broward and you get a screen full of listings. A lot of them are dispatch networks that pass your job to whoever is closest. Here is the honest difference.
Call 954-994-1984 and you reach Joe, the owner. Joe is also the person who turns up at your door. No call centre, no voicemail, and nobody bidding your job out to a stranger.
Fully licensed and insured to work throughout Broward County. Ask for the license number any time. A locksmith who gets cagey about that question is telling you something.
The oldest trick in this trade is a cheap number on the phone that triples once your lock is already drilled. You get a clear quote before any work starts, and that is what you pay. No dispatch fee bolted on at the end.
KSB works Broward, and only Broward, and has done since 2012. That is over a decade of knowing which buildings run which hardware, where the gate offices are, and how long it really takes to cross the county at five on a Friday.
Starting prices, published up front. Not a teaser rate and not a flat rate: whatever number you are quoted before work begins is the number you pay.
Because a standard residential deadbolt is not the same job as a high-security cylinder or a multipoint patio door, and five cylinders keyed alike is not the same as five separate rekeys. Tell us the lock and the door when you call and you get a firm number before anyone touches anything. There is no dispatch fee, and no charge for turning up and quoting.

Before replacing anything we check the door itself, because the lock is often not the real problem. A deadbolt that will not throw cleanly is usually a strike plate or alignment issue rather than a failed cylinder, and swapping the lock without fixing the alignment just puts new hardware into the same bad situation. Doors in South Florida move with humidity, and older homes move the most.
When replacement genuinely is the answer, the grade of hardware matters more than the brand on the box. Builder-grade deadbolts are the cheapest component on most front doors and they behave like it. Stepping up to a properly rated deadbolt costs less than people expect and is the most meaningful security upgrade available on a typical home.
On anything within reach of the coast, corrosion resistance matters as much as the mechanism. We have replaced plenty of hardware that failed in under two years because it was never rated for the environment it was hung in. Choosing correctly the first time is cheaper than doing this twice.
If you are replacing more than one door, say so up front. We can key everything alike so you carry one key, match finishes across the house, and it costs meaningfully less than booking separate visits later.
